Gelatin is obtained from the skin and bones of the animal by a controlled extraction process. There are many types of gelatin. The capsule is made of pharmaceutical grade gelatin, which meets the strict requirements for drug products. The procedure of making the capsule is to form a layer of gelatin film on the stainless steel mold first. Then the gelatin film is dried and hardened to form a capsule and then removed from the mold. Generally, there are two sizes of moulds, one is used to make capsule body, and the other is used to make capsule cap with larger diameter.
